Frequently Asked Questions
How Many Sessions Will I Need?
When you have your initial consultation, I will be able to advise you to the number of sessions I would recommend. For some habits this can be as little as three sessions, but for more complicated issues it is harder to specify the exact number of sessions you might need. I will review your therapy requirements with you during your sessions.
How Often Will I Need a Hypnotherapy Session?
In order to gain maximum benefit from your sessions with me, I recommend that clients see me once a week. This is so client maintains momentum in their therapy and can see results faster.
Do You Offer Any Self-Help CDs?
Yes I do! In addition to your therapy, I offer a range of support CDs that can be purchased at any time during your therapy. The support CDs can be specifically tailored to your individual needs and are great for use in conjunction with the hypnotherapy.
CDs include:
• Easy Sleeping
• Weight Loss 1-4
• Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) 1-3
• Relax and rebalance
• Anxiety and Panic control
Do you work with children under 18?
Yes I do! I require written consent from the parent/guardian and they are also required to be onsite (in the waiting room, not the therapy room) at the same time.
How much does it cost?
I feel that my prices are very competitive. My prices can be found on my Fees & Appointments page.
Can you treat me and a friend at the same time?
It is strongly recommended that I treat you individually.
Common Myths Explained
Hypnotherapy uses suggestion. Positive suggestions will be accepted readily and easily by your subconscious. You will not accept suggestions that are negative for you and you cannot be made to do anything you do not want to do. So no crazy chicken dances! :)
Hypnosis is a wonderful state of relaxation that is highly peaceful and enjoyable. You cannot become stuck in this natural state and you can take yourself out of hypnosis at any time you choose to.
There is no common hypnotic feeling that everyone experiences. Generally everyone feels deeply relaxed; some people feel like they are floating, others feel hot and some feel cold. It is not unusual for clients to feel nothing but relaxed.
During hypnotherapy you are completely aware of what is going on. You can hear everything the I say and you can talk and interact with me, just like normal. At the end of the session, you will remember everything that happened during the session unless you choose not to.
