During my time with you, I will draw on a variety of tools and techniques to help you resolve your issues. The tools I use include:
- Suggestion Therapy
- Emotional Freedom Technique
- Neuro Linguistic Programming
- Talking Therapy
Suggestion therapy is a gentle approach to therapy where I use carefully-worded, positive suggestions, to help you bring about a positive change. It is often used for treating habits, such as nail biting.
This method can be used when there isn't really any underlying stress or anxiety causing the symptom. However, suggestion is often combined with hypno-analysis and other techniques to optimise its effectiveness.
Hypno-analysis is an extremely effective and powerful form of analytical hypnotherapy that is used to treat a number of different problems such as stress, anxiety and social phobias. Hypno-analysis seeks to find the root cause of a problem. When revealed, the symptoms can disappear and the change is often permanent. Hypno-analysis is not a quick fix and it can take a number of sessions to reveal and resolve underlying issues.
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is non-invasive where the therapist will teach you to stimulate certain meridian points by tapping on them with your fingertips. This addresses the cause for emotional issues, which are unbalanced energy meridians. This frequently reduces the therapeutic process from months and years down to short periods of time. It can even be used in a number of minutes to relieve times of anxiety. Many clients find that EFT provides physical relief as well, because emotional stress can often contribute to pain and physical ailments.
Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) is a goal-orientated practical approach to therapy and is combined with hypnotherapy to achieve outstanding results. NLP can help you to cope with stress and anxiety along with helping an individual to make decisions. Past problems can be resolved to help you achieve your goals.
Talking therapy is just that – talking. This gives you the opportunity to express yourself and get things off your chest. It is also an opportunity to discuss certain areas outside of hypnosis. Talking therapy is important and will always be integrated into your sessions.
