Insomnia & Sleep Issues

There is nothing better than a good nights sleep and there is nothing worse than a permanent bad nights sleep.  Insomnia and sleeping difficulties can cause an individual alot of problems. Fighting constant fatigue means that you have lower energy levels, your concentration is poor and you feel irritable. You may be having more arguments at home or your productivity at work might be lower than normal.

Insomnia can be a sign of stress & anxiety, the inability to relax and also a sign of poor diet (i.e. too much caffeine) and lifestyle (not enough activity). During your initial consultation, I will work to understand your insomnia and how it is affecting you.

Everybody has differing requirements for sleep. Some people need only 5 hours every night and can function quite normally, whilst other people need at least 8 hours before they even consider leaving their bed! It is important to know what is normal for you and establish whether you want a better quality of sleep (e.g. if your sleep is normally disturbed) or whether you just want more of it!

 

Lack of Sleep

Case study: Male 59 - After years of only sleeping for four hours a night, my client was very tired! He came to see me becuase he wanted to increase the quality and quantity of sleep. This was a challenge becuase he has had this habit for 40 years. After 8 sessions focused on resetting his cody clock, sleeping for longer, finding it easy to fall asleep and relaxation he was able to sleep up to 6 hours a night. As a result he felt more refreshed with more energy.
